Bind AWS IP with Hostinger Sub-Domain To bind an AWS IP address to a Hostinger subdomain, you need to update the DNS records of your Hostinger domain to point to the AWS IP address. Here’s a step-by-step guide to achieve this: Step1: Find the AWS IP Address If you have an EC2 instance, you can find the IP address in the AWS Management Console under the "Instances" section. Note the Public IPv4 address. Step2: Access Hostinger DNS Management Log in to your Hostinger account. Go to the "Domains" section and select the domain for which you want to configure the subdomain. Navigate to the "DNS Zone" or "DNS Settings" for that domain. Step3: Create a Subdomain and Point to AWS IP In the DNS settings, create a new A record. Set the "Name" or "Host" field to your subdomain (e.g., subdomain.yourdomain.com ). Set the "Points to" or "Value" field to your AWS IP address. Set the TTL (Time to Live) to the default value
Security cameras have lately become need of the time now days. You can see security cameras installed almost at every shopping mall, small shops, homes and even at the freeways. These cameras have proved to be helping in identification and specifying the causes and effects of incidents and in some cases these cameras help the court in better judgement.
Keeping in view all of the above, we also decided to opt the installation of Security Cameras at our home in order to be aware of the surrounding and avoid unforeseen and unknown incidents. Prices were almost doubled and were definitely out of my league. It is usually understood that once you have received your desired security systema (DVR, Cameras, Cable and Connectors), its all ready for the installation and you will be able to do it quite quickly but let me stop you right here and tell you that YOU ARE WRONG! You will be facing some minor and you might face some major issues and difficulties while the process of installation and during pre-installation steps.
Personally, I have been through some difficulties during pre-installation, installation and post installation activities which I have described in detail in my following blogs:
1. First thing first, you will have to get your DVR ready for the installation and test it in your lab environment (offline mode before laying the cables). Just plug it into the socket and try to connect one camera to see if it is working fine or not! I strongly recommend to have a sight on the post before starting the installation process.
2. Most of the people suffer from the problem which was also faced by me. This problem is the very annoying 5 beeps when you start the DVR in connected configuration. It has very simple solution which has been described in the post "Hikvision DVR 5 Beeps Problem (Solved)". Trust me, this is the easiest and the best solution available having 0 cost.
3. One of the most common issues faced by used DVRs is that these devices tend to forget the date and time setup at each restart and cause hassle of going to the settings and setup the date and time each time which is a very fussy experience. I have also been through this problem and like always I came up with the solution of this problem. 4. Another common problem faced by the new owners of used DVR is that the DVR has already been bounded with the cell phone of previous owner. In case you know the owner and he is generous enough to help you out, you should consider yourself lucky, otherwise you are still lucky, but you will have to do a bit of effort in order to be able to unbind your newly purchased used DVR.
